Landing a strong finance or analytical role has become more difficult—not because candidates are necessarily less qualified, but because employers have more qualified options. Being capable is no longer enough. You must make your value easier to recognize and trust.
Remote Roles
When you pursue a remote opportunity, you are no longer competing only against candidates in your city. You are competing against talent across the country.
Higher-Paying Roles
Better compensation attracts stronger applicants with recognizable companies, polished materials, and competitive interview experience.
Early-Career Opportunities
Students and recent graduates often compete against hundreds of candidates with similar degrees, internships, certifications, and technical skills.
AI Has Raised the Baseline
AI can now help almost anyone produce a polished resume, draft a cover letter, and rehearse generic interview answers. That means looking polished is no longer a meaningful advantage. The real differentiator is whether employers believe you can create value.
Most candidates approach recruiting as a collection of disconnected tasks. They update their resume. Optimize LinkedIn. Apply to more jobs. Memorize behavioral answers. Learn another technical skill.
But they never connect those pieces into one clear and credible explanation of why a company should hire them.
Your resume may say that you prepared forecasts, analyzed data, created reports, built dashboards, supported month-end close, or completed a major project. But many other candidates can say the same thing. Employers are not simply evaluating what you have already done.
They Are Predicting the Value You Will Create After They Hire You.
Will you take ownership?
Can you solve problems independently?
Do you understand the business behind the numbers?
Can you turn analysis into decisions?
Can you communicate with managers and stakeholders?
Can they trust you with greater responsibility?
If your resume, LinkedIn profile, networking conversations, and interviews do not reinforce one clear message, you can appear average even when your background is strong.
Templates, AI tools, interview guides, and career content can all be useful. But access to information is no longer the main problem. The challenge is applying that information to your specific experience, target roles, and recruiting obstacles.
Generic Advice and AI Can Help You:
Rewrite a resume bullet
Generate an interview answer
Produce a LinkedIn summary
Give you a networking template
Suggest common interview questions
Altura Helps You Determine:
Which experiences matter most for your target role
What your profile currently communicates
Whether your positioning is credible
Why your applications may not be converting
Where your interview answers lose clarity or trust
Which roles realistically align with your background
What to change first
That requires judgment, personalization, direct feedback, and strong execution. That is the gap Altura was built to close.
THE ALTURA METHODOLOGY
The strongest candidates do not merely possess experience. They consistently communicate four characteristics across their resume, LinkedIn profile, networking, and interviews.
01
Demonstrated Impact
Top candidates do not simply describe what they did. They communicate the value they created and the problems they solved.
Hiring managers do not hire lists of tasks. They hire evidence of future impact.
02
Ownership
Companies want people they can trust. A 1% Candidate™ clearly communicates what they personally owned, which decisions they made, what obstacles they encountered, and how they responded.
Companies do not promote task-doers. They promote people they can trust with more.
03
Strategic Thinking
Finance and analytical professionals are not hired simply to create spreadsheets, reports, or dashboards. They are hired to help businesses make better decisions. Strong candidates explain what drives the numbers, why the analysis matters, and what action the business should consider.
Numbers without a narrative rarely change a business decision.
04
Executive Communication
Technical ability gets you considered. Clear communication earns trust. A 1% Candidate™ can structure their thoughts, answer directly, explain complex information clearly, and communicate confidently with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Clarity under pressure is what separates a candidate from a hire.
Discover Where Your Candidacy Is Breaking Down
See If You Qualify as a 1% Candidate

This Is a Career Investment
Altura is a paid, selective six-week coaching program—not a free resume review, job board, or done-for-you application service. Program investment and payment options are discussed during the private strategy call after we determine whether the program fits your goals and situation.
Apply to See Whether You Qualify
Information without implementation rarely changes results. That is why Altura includes live coaching and direct support while you put the system into practice.
Lifetime Weekly Implementation Calls
Sessions may include: resume and LinkedIn reviews, behavioral-answer hot seats, interview debriefs, networking feedback, remote-role positioning, application-strategy corrections, and live recruiting questions.
45 Days of Priority Private Support
Ask questions about applications, recruiter messages, interview preparation, networking situations, remote opportunities, salary positioning, offer decisions, and recruiting setbacks. Responses within one business day, Monday through Friday.
After the priority period, members retain lifetime access to weekly implementation calls and the Altura alumni community.
Lifetime alumni access does not include unlimited private calls, additional document rewrites, or additional mock interviews.

BUILT FROM REAL FINANCE RECRUITING EXPERIENCE
Miguel’s career has included corporate finance, SaaS FP&A, consulting, financial operations, and highly competitive investment banking recruiting.
He landed an investment banking internship at HSBC, later received a full-time investment banking offer from Scotiabank, and ultimately secured a six-figure remote finance role.
Those experiences reinforced one central lesson: the strongest candidate on paper does not always get hired. The candidate who wins is often the person who communicates their value most clearly and gives the employer the greatest confidence that they can perform.
Altura was created to apply the rigor of selective finance recruiting to professionals pursuing better-paying, higher-growth, and remote finance and analytical roles.

Complete the core program, implement your finalized recruiting materials, and consistently execute the agreed recruiting plan for 60 days. If you generate zero qualified interviews, Altura will continue providing group coaching and alumni support at no additional cost until you secure your first qualified interview.
What Counts as a Qualified Interview?
A live interview with a recruiter, hiring manager, or member of the hiring team for a mutually agreed finance or analytical role. It does not include automated assessments, informational conversations, staffing spam, irrelevant recruiter outreach, or interviews outside the agreed target.
To qualify for the guarantee, the participant must:
Complete the required program modules
Use the finalized resume and LinkedIn positioning
Apply to mutually agreed target roles
Complete the agreed weekly application and networking activity
Track recruiting activity, attend or watch required implementation sessions, and follow recommended adjustments
Altura does not guarantee employment or control hiring decisions made by third-party employers. The guarantee means we will not hand you templates and disappear if the agreed strategy produces no interview traction.
Apply Under the Guarantee

01
Apply and Select a Tentative Time
Complete the qualification questions inside Calendly and choose an available time for a potential private strategy call. Your selected time is tentative and does not automatically confirm the session.
02
Altura Reviews Your Application
Every Calendly submission is reviewed individually before the call. Altura evaluates your background, target roles, recruiting timeline, obstacles, level of commitment, and whether you are prepared to invest in a paid coaching program. If your situation does not appear to be a strong fit, Altura may cancel the tentative call. You will be notified by email.
03
Attend the Private Strategy Call
If your application is approved and the call remains confirmed, we review your recruiting situation, identify gaps in your positioning and execution, clarify your target roles, explain how Altura may be able to help, and discuss the program investment and payment options.
Selecting a Calendly time does not guarantee that the call will take place or that the applicant will be accepted into Altura. There is no obligation to join. The purpose of the process is to determine whether there is a genuine fit on both sides.
Altura is selective because the program includes personalized reviews, live feedback, and direct support. Complete the qualification questions inside Calendly and choose a tentative time for a private strategy call. Every submission is reviewed before the meeting.
Selecting a time does not automatically confirm your call. If your background, goals, timeline, commitment, or ability to invest do not appear to be a strong fit, Altura may cancel the tentative session and notify you by email.
